frockOn 1: Renee, You are the owner of the company LOGO’s Setup Squad is based on, can you tell us about the company and how it got started?
Renee: I started my company while going to a Masters in Psychology at NYU. Though I was originally interested in doing Marriage Counseling, I began taking classes in Career Development and became obsessed with action plans- I mean I could meet with clients, give them goals, and watch them have SUCCESS! So, I started my own business mixing Personal Counseling with concepts of Executive Coaching-and was AMAZED at the results my clients had! As my business outgrew my ability to do everything myself, and the economy was doing awfully, I thought it would be fab to have a staff, who I could allow to work flexibly when needed, that I could train to follow out the coaching plans I created for clients. And then I got approached to do a TV show! BONKERS!!
frockOn 2.We love your style Renee! How would you say your professional career affects the way you dress?
Renee: Well, growing up in SOHO, if you don’t have style you get deported, so I learned at a young age not only the creativity behind it, but also it was survival baby! Truthfully, it was actually a part of my career decision. Style is one of the most important factors of perception, and can influence an outcome of a date-or interview. In my life I can change my look daily, per client, per experience, but still keep a core essence of “who I am” in the process.
frockOn 3. Where are your favorite places to shop in the city?
Renee: Ahh, I wish there was a place where I didn’t like to shop! I love Bergdorfs, I am obsessed with Alice & Olivia, Intermix is amazing, and Forever 21 is the best mix and match place there is!
frockOn 4. Spring is coming (well at least they say it is)- What is a must have item on your wish list this year for the warming weather?
Renee: I am someone who thinks March is a good enough time to start wearing an open toe, but truly I can’t wait to get to wear platform wedges and a flowy dress!
frockOn 5. What are you going to do next with your company?
Renee: Go public?!? J My goal within the next few years is to hire more “Wings”, as I take on more speaking engagements, workshops, and seminars. I also will be including a “Success Coaching” to my company, to help my clients not only achieve the dating life of their dreams, but in their career as well.
